Adriana

---

Adriana came to Iktomi Tattoo under somewhat unusual circumstances.

Several years ago, a small crate arrived at the shop with no return address, seventeen dollars in postage, and the words “DO NOT SHAKE” written on every side. We left it unopened for several days until we began hearing someone politely knocking from the inside.

That someone was Adriana.

She refuses to explain who mailed her, where she was sent from, or why the box also contained 40 pounds of aquarium gravel and a photograph of Danny DeVito.

Fortunately, Adriana turned out to be an incredibly talented tattoo artist, so we decided against contacting the authorities.

She has been with us ever since.

The crate remains in the basement.

Sometimes it knocks.
